Gmail Finally Says Goodbye to Beta

Posted on July 9, 2009, under Google, Tech Events.

Gmail

After five years in Beta, finally the Gmail says goodbye to Beta version. If you are Gmail user, you will noticed in Gmail page that the word Beta was already removed on the Gmail logo.

According to official Gmail blog, all other Google Apps – Docs, Gtalk, Calendar and Docs will also come out in the beta version.

If you like to retain the term Beta on the Gmail logo when you log in your Gmail account, you can do it by going to Settings, click the Labs and choose Enable – Back to Beta and you will see the old Gmail logo.

I’ve been using the Gmail for years already and I do like its environment and features and the way it handle spam.

Google PR Updated?

Posted on May 29, 2009, under Blogging, Google, Page Rank.

Google PR

I was on my casual blogs hopping when I noticed that some of my blog that I’m visiting has updated Page Rank (PR) and also I read posts about the PR update this month.

I was kind of sad because I still had PR0 as of this moment. I’m looking forward for a PR1, I guess I really need to do more in terms of making contents, link building, commenting, etc. Although some blogger doesn’t value PR, it is still a good measurement of how your blog ranks against other sites.

The only consolation that I have is may Alexa ranking which is currently 265,476.

For the coming months, I will still be looking forward for a PR update on my blog.
